Karkinos Healthcare Pvt. Ltd. is an India-based digital oncology startup focused ondesigning and delivering bespoke solutions for cancer care. The company is on a mission to create ‘cancer centers without walls’ with the primary aim of addressing the lack of access or affordability in cancer care. The company began its operations in July 2020.

As the fundamental principle of Karkinos Healthcare is to offer democratized cancer care services in a participatory manner, the company has conceived a ‘hub-and-spoke and a further spoke model’ that allows it to partner with existing healthcare providers, clinicians, diagnostic facilities, day care chemotherapy facilities, tertiary hospitals, and Apex centers. Such partnerships allow Karkinos Healthcare to leverage previously existing facilities and deliver optimum and continued cancer care closer to the patient’s or the citizen’s home, enabling affordable and timely cancer care interventions and ultimately saving lives. To enable this, Karkinos Healthcare is setting up a Distributed Cancer Care Network (DCCN) of service providers across the country to build capacity at scale and take cancer care closer to the population.
